Renovation of a water / sewer project in Corvallis, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The work consists of the replacement of an aging multi-zone air handling unit (AHU) located in the mechanical room of the Operations Building at the Corvallis Wastewater Reclamation Plant (WWRP) Operations Building. Additional scope for the project includes modifications to the building's air distribution system to prevent any laboratory air from recirculating through the building. The new AHU will be a variable air volume (VAV) system utilizing seven new terminal units to deliver conditioned air to building. It will also be equipped with an economizer which will require a new exhaust penetration in the breezeway of the building and modification to the existing outside air (OSA) intake on the roof above the mechanical room. Enabling the installation of the new VAV AHU will require the demolition of the existing AHU, select portions of associated ductwork and hydronic piping, a roof-mounted exhaust fan, and the existing OSA intake hood. A new OSA intake will be installed. The City encourages small, minority- and women-owned businesses to bid.
