Renovation of an educational facility in Corvallis, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Oregon State University is seeking proposers to provide a liquid sodium pump for its School of Nuclear Science and Engineering. Responses to the solicitation must be received no later than the due date and in accordance with the submittal instructions contained in the solicitation document. Oregon State University is currently working with industry partners to support the development of next-generation sodium fast reactor designs. In order to accomplish this goal, design work is currently underway for a large-scale thermal-hydraulic test loop which will operate at prototypic conditions using liquid sodium as the primary working fluid. This loop will require a primary loop pump of considerable capability to allow the loop to characterize scaled down, mock-up fuel bundles, reactor vessel internal components, and test various component seals. A Pre-Proposal Conference will not be held. OSU reserves the right to ask follow-up questions of Proposers during first stage evaluations. The questions will be for the purpose of clarification of information already contained in submittals and not be an opportunity to submit additional documentation or change existing documentation.
