PALOUSE WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT In general - the project includes installation of approximately 3 - 360 linear feet of water main - 30 water services and connections - 971 square yards of HMA - 1 - 574 square yards of gravel surfacing - 1 - 035 square yards of landscape restoration. Abandonment of existing 4-inch water main - and installation of 5 new fire hydrants and other related miscellaneous items. All work must be completed within 50 working days from the notice to proceed. Liquidated damages shall be $1 - 000.00 per day. Questions shall be referred to the Engineer - Richard Utzman - TD&H Engineering - Inc. in writing at 210 Main Street; Lewiston - ID 83501 or - (208) 746-0938 A current Public Works Contractor's License for the State of Washington is required to bid on this work. All bids shall be submitted in accordance with the project bidding and contract requirements and shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the base bid. Bid Bond shall be in the form of Cash - Cashier's Check - Certified Check or Bidder's Bond executed by a qualified surety company - any of which shall be made payable to the City of Palouse. The City of Palouse may - by resolution - reject any and all bids and make further calls for bids in the same manner as the original call. The City also reserves the right to waive any informality in the bids received. Award of the Contract will be made to the lowest responsive - responsible bidder.
