The Township of Warren proposes to improve the existing baseball fields and softball fields located at the Warren Municipal Complex. The Municipal Complex is located at 46 Mountain Boulevard in the Township ofWarren. The proposed improvements for the baseball and softball fields will consist ofthe removal ofthe existing infield mix forfields #1, #2, #3, #4, and #6, the removal ofthe existing grass edge for fields #1, #2, #3, #4, and #6, the installation ofthe new Beam Clay Medium Infield Mix or approved Equal for field #1, #2, #3, #4, and #6, the installation ofthe new grass infield for Field #3, reestablish the edge of grass for fields #1, #2, #3, #4, and #6, rebuild pitcher mound for fields #3, #4, and #6, the installation of anchors for softball pitchers mount at 35' 40 and 43' for field #1 and field #2, and re-install baseball bases in all (5) five fields. n addition to the baseball and softball field improvement listed above, the project scope includes the construction of (2) two retaining walls located adjacent to Field #3 and theinstallation of additional fencing at Field #2.Furthermore, the project scope includes improvements to the existing drainage system. The proposed improvement to the drainage system consists ofthe construction of(2) two new storm inlets located between Field #2 and Field #6. The proposed storm inlets will connect to the existing drainage system using new 15" diameter HOPE piping. The (2) two connections to the existing drainage system will be constructed by using (2) two proposed storm drainage doghouse manholes. In addition to the above documents, a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond issued by a responsible bank, trust company or insurance company, payable to the Township of Warren shall be submitted with each bid as a guaranty that if a contract is awarded the Bidder shall execute said Contract and furnish the bonds required by the Contract Documents ("Bid Security"). The Bid Security shall be in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid or Twenty-Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00), whichever is lower. Challenges filed after that time shall be considered void and having no impact on the contracting unit or the award of a contract. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids in accordance with the requirements of N.J.S.A. If the work is not completed by the scheduled completion date, the Bidder shall pay to the Township the sum of Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars per day for each day that the work is not completed as liquidated damages
