Aquis/Flexible Start Time: Electronic bids are requested for a Work Order Driven / Budgetary Ceiling Contract that consists of providing labor, equipment, and materials to refurbish existing thermoplastic traffic stripes and markings in different locations in Miami-Dade County. The Department does not guarantee any maximum or minimum quantity, any range of quantities, or the exact quantities shown for each item to be bid. The Department's estimated quantities are used to establish unit prices bids which will then be used to determine the low bidder and contract award. The actual reimbursement to the Contractor will be based on the unit price for the actual amount of work authorized, completed, and approved by the Engineer subject to the limiting amount of the contract. There will be no pay items unit cost adjustments for quantities required over or under the estimated quantities. This contract is not renewable. The various items shall be performed in accordance with these Specifications and in conformity with the existing lines, grades, and dimensions. The Award will be made at the Budgetary Ceiling amount of $275,000.00. Experience in Pavement Markings (Form # 850-070-06) must be submitted with your bid as an attachment, or your bid may be found non-responsive. For bids over $150,000.00, the standard proposal guaranty of 5% of the bid will be required, unless otherwise stipulated in the proposal advertisement. A Proposal Guaranty of not less than five percent (5%) of the total actual bid in the form of either a certified check, cashier's check, trust company treasurer's check, bank draft of any national or state bank, or a Surety Proposal Guaranty made payable to the Florida Department of Transportation must be received for each bid in excess of $150,000.00 A 100% Payment and Performance Bond will be required for all projects.
