The City of Independence, Missouri Water Department invites bids from firms meeting the qualifications set forth herein and in referenced documents to perform the following scope of work at the Courtney Bend Water Treatment Plant for the Water Department. The contract for this project shall provide for, but not be limited to, all equipment, materials, and workmanship required for the proper supply and installation of new water filtration media for filter no. 8. Specifications for removal of existing media and replacement with new media in rapid sand water filter no. 8 Line Item No. 1) Provide for all workmanship, equipment, materials, and services required and as specified for removal and disposal of all existing gravel, sand, and anthracite media currently installed in filter no. 8. Line Item No. 2) Provide for all workmanship, equipment, materials, and services required and as specified for installation of new filter media in filter no. 8. Line Item No. 3) Provide for all workmanship, equipment, materials, and services required and as specified for installation of anthracite additions to filter no. 2 and filter no. 6.
