Site work and renovation of a civil project in Eldon, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Cardinal School Community District intends to discontinue the use of the existing lagoon treatment system and transfer the sanitary waste to the City of Eldon, Iowa. More specifically, the proposed improvements include the construction of gravity sewer, sanitary lift station, emergency power, electrical and controls, 16,360 L.F. of sanitary forcemain with air release/vacuum valve pits along Highway 16 and Highway 918, miscellaneous appurtenant items, and demolition of the existing lagoon and treatment facility. When completed, the system will deliver the sanitary waste from the rural school campus to the City of Eldon sanitary collection system located at the intersection of 9th Street and High Street. The work under the proposed Contract shall commence upon issuance of the written Notice to Proceed. The proposed wastewater improvements listed shall be substantially completed on or before December 16, 2022, except for the seeding. The seeding shall be fully completed by May 31, 2023.
