Royal BC Museum Corporation ("RBCM") of its intent to extend its contract with Black & McDonald Ltd to provide facility preventive maintenance management services to the RBCM located at 675 Belleville Street in Victoria BC. The current service agreement is set to expire March 31, 2022 and the Royal BC Museum is extending the service agreement for an additional one-year period to March 31st, 2023. Facility Management Services Provided . Supply and Manage highly skilled, well equipped work force . Tailored operations and maintenance program . Subcontract management . Materials purchasing . 24-hour emergency service Rationale for Contract Extension The RBCM is seeking government Treasury Board approval for the RBCM modernization project and the extension will enable the museum to understand any resulting impacts to the property. The current facility management service provider; a) Has extensive knowledge of the site, its equipment and processes b) Can maintain the consistency and quality of service leading up to any future modernization of the site. c) Has contracts in place with suppliers to continue conducting daily operations; d) Has knowledgeable staff familiar with operations. A company's past experience providing similar services, and their ability to provide these services for the same or better cost within the same time frame will be key considerations for determining the validity of any objections.
