The City of Raleigh Public Utilities Department provides potable water, reuse water, and sanitary sewer service to approximately 180,000 metered water and sewer customers and a service population of approximately 530,000 people in Raleigh, Garner, Wake Forest, Rolesville, Knightdale, Wendell, and Zebulon areas. Each consultant may submit their submittal to be considered for any combination of the distribution/collection system, treatment plants, surveying, environmental, geotechnical, construction materials testing, subsurface utility engineering, and blasting consulting services. Consultants seeking work in the Distribution and Collection section and the Treatment plant work section typically provide Geotechnical, Environmental, SUE and Surveying services associated with distribution/collection and treatment plant work via subcontracts or in-house services. The intent is that these services will continue to be provided as part of the engineering contract for distribution/collection and treatment plant work, but also provide the opportunity for CORPUD to additionally contract directly with surveying, environmental, geotechnical, etc. The Contract shall have a term of three (3) years, beginning on the date the Contract is signed by the City (the "Effective Date"). The professional engineering services required for these types of projects would be an on call as needed basis for a three-year time period, with the ability to extend the contract for two additional one-year periods at the City's discretion.
