Project Funding: This project is funded through: Lead Service Lateral Replacement (LSLR) with the Wisconsin DNR Project Description: The work will generally consist of replacement of 45 water services. The average length of service to be replaced is 46 feet. The majority of this work is planned along 6th St E, and 4th Ave. W. There will be ongoing road construction at both locations, coordination will be key to successfully performing this work. Additional sites for LSL replacement will be found throughout the City of Ashland see bid documents for more detail. Contract Documents: The project manual and plans will be available February 14th, 2022 after 3:00p.m. Bidders must also have insurance coverage meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE): We encourage DBEs, including MBEs and WBEs, to submit bid proposals/apply for the purpose of being included on the municipality's list of prequalified plumbers for the Private Lead Service Line replacement program." Iron and steel products means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clams and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials: Contractor will be required to provide Owner documentation of the use of American Iron and Steel. Contractors on the project shall be required to comply with the minimum wages and labor standards, and conditions of employment to be observed, as determined by the Federal DavisBacon wage rages, under the observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under contract.
