The City seeks vendor(s) to provide recreation equipment two (2) play structures one (1) for children ages 2-5 and one (1) for children ages 5-12, with sail fabric or comparable structures to provide at least partial shade, two (2) ADA compliant play amenities, swings, and three (3) benches with shade structures for installation by others at Woodburn Community Park. During and after installation, full and thorough auditing of vendor delivered equipment (e.g., faulty equipment, etc.) will be performed by a Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) representing the City. Vendor(s) will be required to address and resolve any identified deficiencies within five (5) days of notification of the deficiencies by the Certified Playground Safety Inspector representing the City. All requests for clarification or additional information must be submitted in writing via email to the City's Special Projects Coordinator, Vanessa Reaves, at vreaves@morgantownwv.gov. Requests for clarification must be received no later than Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Questions and responses will be shared with all known bidders by Wednesday, March 9, 2022. All requests for clarification or additional information received after Wednesday, March 9 will not be addressed. All Bidders must provide a Bid Security with their bid. Bid Security shall be made payable to the City of Morgantown in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the Bidder's maximum bid price in the form of either a certified bank check or a Bid Bond, issued by a Surety Company authorized to do business in West Virginia in meeting the requirements set forth at the bottom thereof. This Contract is subject to the Federal Requirements for minority, female, and Section 3 resident requirements. The Bidders must provide information related to their qualifications. The City's goal is five percent (5%) for MBE participation, three percent (3%) for WBE participation, and five percent (5%) for Section 3 participation. The City of Morgantown reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part if it is determined to be in the best interest of the City of Morgantown.
