The scope of work for this project is a design build park and recreation building that includes preparation of the site, the construction of a 5,000 square foot pre-engineered steel building with ADA bathroom facilities and final grading of the site in accordance with project specifications he bid award date will be announced at the bid opening. All bids must be sealed and addressed to East Norriton Township at the above address and be marked Sealed Bid Specification Park and Recreation Building on the outside of the envelope. Delivery of all bids to East Norriton Township shall be the sole responsibility of the bidder.Questions regarding the specifications shall be directed to James C. The bids must be made on the forms furnished by the Owner and the bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to East Norriton Township. All bids must be accompanied by a Surety Consent. Said surety is to be licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The successful bidder shall be bound to furnish and pay for a Performance Bond and a Labor Public Works Contractors Bond Law & Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, and a Maintenance Bond in an amount equal to fifteen percent (15%) of the contract price, on bond forms acceptable to the Owner. Bids may be held for a period of forty-five (45) days from the date of Bid Opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigation of the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract. The successful bidder will be required to submit a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the bid proposal. Prevailing wages will apply to all bids in excess of $25,000. The requirements of the Township Responsible Contractor Ordinance must be met where total cost of the project is in excess of one-hundred thousand dollars ($100,000).
