Renovation of a fire / police facility in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
Replace the elevator system originally installed circa 1986. Although at some point the geared machine has been replaced presumably due to wear and tear. It is motor-generator driven, geared elevator with DC motor. The drive equipment and electronics are located at the lowest landing and are therefore termed basement machine. The elevator capacity is 2500 pounds and speed is 400 fpm. The elevator serves six floors including the basement level and penthouse. Doors are two-speed side opening 42". Provincial designation is 1631. The elevator has been equipped with recall by building fire alarm system.
