2022-2023 Sludge Hauling and Land Application Services 2.Description of Work. The proposed work consists of removing, hauling and land applying Class B dewatered sludge according to EPA 503 regulations. The responsible contractor will need to demonstrate the Class B biosolids will have approved fields for land application on an annual basis per the approximated volumes. 3.Instructions to Bidders. 4.Wages. Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor or determined by the court on review shall be paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work shall apply to this contract. The Downers Grove Sanitary District is exempt from the Illinois State, municipal or county Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, Use Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Compiled Statute Chapter 35. Proposal prices shall not include the cost of such taxes. 6. Rejection of Bids. The Downers Grove Sanitary District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities. Unless the bids are rejected for good cause, award of contract shall be made to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder.
