Description of Work. The proposed construction consists of installation of approximately 200 lineal feet of 42-inch sanitary sewer, including connection to existing sewer, surface restoration, and other miscellaneous items of work. 3.Information for Bidders. The completed and signed Construction Contractor's Qualifications Statements will be reviewed and approved on a rolling basis and must be submitted to Alex Bielawa via abielawa@dgsd.org no later than 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. After evaluating each Construction Contractor's Qualifications Statement, the Downers Grove Sanitary District will determine and contact qualified bidders. Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor or determined by the court on review shall be paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under this contract. The Downers Grove Sanitary District is exempt from the Illinois State, municipal or county Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, Use Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Compiled Statute Chapter 35. Bid prices shall not include the cost of such taxes. 4.Rejection of Bids. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive technicalities. Unless the Bids are rejected for good cause, award of contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder.
