These proposals will be publicly opened in the Public Works Director's offices, in the presence of interested parties. All interested parties and the public are invited and encouraged to attend the opening of all proposals. After tabulations and review, bids will be presented to the City Council for contract award when required. Any proposal transmitted to the City of South Haven's facsimile (fax) machine will be deemed an invalid bid and not be considered for review. It will be the bidder's sole responsibility to ensure that his proposal reaches the Office of the Director of Public Works, City of South Haven. The City of South Haven intends to secure a supply source for the service(s) defined by considering (but not limited to) the following: lowest price, terms of the warranty, and prompt and convenient service by the supplier to the City. Any failure on the part of the supplier or contractor to comply with the following conditions and specifications shall be a reason for contract termination. The City reserves the right to award the supplier where the service meets the specification, terms, and conditions. City Council considers the bid to be in the City's best interest. The City of South Haven is seeking qualified contractors to furnish labor, material and services necessary to complete all mechanical trades work associated with the replacement and installation of the two air handling units (AHU) that serve City Hall located at 539 Phoenix Steet, South Haven MI 49090. The Project will include the following: o Removal and disposal of the existing AHU's o AHU #1 o Hydronic heating / DX cooling o 30 tons o AHU #2 o Hydronic heating / DX cooling o 10 tons o Installation of new AHU's o AHU #1 o Trane Climate Changer o Hydronic heating / DX cooling o 30 tons o AHU #2 o Trane Climate Changer o Hydronic heating / DX cooling o 10 tons o Necessary ductwork transitions o Necessary piping to connect the hydronic and DX systems o Required controls reconnection o Required general trades work o Room repairs to get the AHU out and in o Roof repairs o Start up
