The VGH OR Renewal Phase 2 scope of work includes the following: Demolition of JP2 project floor spaces in phases and stages Construction of 12 Universal OR's equipped with radiation shielding, prefabricated surgical room ceiling system, distributed antennae system and audio visual infrastructure, 1 Hybrid OR, and 2 ORs that are fitted out but not equipped. 38 Bed Perioperative Care Unit (PCU) Administrative, Storage and Support Spaces Mechanical, Electrical and IT Infrastructure upgrades to support the new OR and upgrades to ensure integration with the existing JPN Level 3 OR's Central fire/smoke evacuation upgrade Infrastructure improvements including isolation of the ICU unit, medical gas equipment upgrade, new chilled water system, stand-by power plant expansion and heat recovery ventilation. TIMELINE: Construction Management Services for the project has been awarded. The construction budget for the scope of the project is anticipated to be $160M.
