Renovation of an educational facility in Boulder, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 95,000-square-foot educational facility.
The University of Colorado Boulder seeks a qualified Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) for the renovation of the Hellems building. The project will consist of a complete renovation of the existing building, including interior revisions of approximately 95,000SF, new building systems, and improvements to the exterior envelope. Renovations to the Mary Rippon Theatre located inside the central courtyard of Hellems will be included in the project scope and will focus on accessibility, stormwater drainage, and power and lighting upgrades. The building is located within the Norlin Quadrangle National Historic District and improvements will need to be approved by the State Historic Preservation Officer. The project will provide a multi-department facility that promotes flexibility of future use, as well as creating an inclusive, student focused building.
