The curb and gutter is to be replaced with the soldier course of brick remaining. Driveway aprons and sidewalks passing through a driveway, or within the downtown area, shall be 6 inches thick. All other flat work shall be 4 inches thick, or as directed by the Engineer. The work will construct new concrete structures. Old, existing concrete structures will be removed and disposed of by the Owner prior to the Contractors arrival on site. The subbase to which the stone and concrete will be placed, will be graded and leveled by the Owner's forces. The Contractor will be responsible for constructing the concrete structures to the line and grade specified by the Owner, to the tolerances listed in the General and Supplementary Conditions. The Contractor is responsible for excavation, removal and disposal of all material as directed by the Engineer.
