The City of Ashland ("City") is requesting proposals from qualified firms or individuals to produce a Wildfire Mitigation Plan ("WMP") for the City's electric utility. The purpose of the WMP is to review, capture and catalog existing utility wildfire policies and procedures. The resulting plan will incorporate existing work to provide strategies to minimize the risk of damage to and from electrical lines and equipment. The WMP will be used to benchmark ongoing efforts and strategies to maintain safe and reliable electric utility system operations. The WMP must satisfy the requirements of and be compliant with the 2021 Oregon Senate Bill 762, which requires consumer owned electric utilities to operate in compliance with a risk-based wildfire protection plan approved by the governing body of the electric utility. A proposer must have electrical engineering and operations field experience to perform the required scope of services. Deadline for submitting questions is 5:00:00 PM (PST), Monday, March 14, 2022. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
