The Contractor shall supply one rail bound production profile grinding vehicle (also referred to as the 'vehicle' herein) adequately equipped to profile steel running rails including the removal of corrugation and other surface defects. The profile grinding vehicle shall be of a road-rail vehicle design (otherwise colloquially known as a 'hi-rail' vehicle) which is a dual-mode vehicle that can operate both on rail tracks (using steel flanged wheels) and a conventional paved road (using pneumatic rubber tires). The Contractor shall further supply all labour, material and equipment necessary to successfully perform the profile grinding of running rails for the mainline and yard track network, including special track work, within the TTC's Streetcar System.
