As of October 26, 2022, the project has bee awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. On a section of Asilomar Blvd in the hills above the Pacific Coast Hwy between Sunset Blvd & Temescal Cyn Rd in Palisades: The project will stabilize the slope using a construction method called Cement-Deep Soil Mixing. (CDSM) Work within the ROW would occur using a specialized drill rig that would mix the existing subsurface material with cement, forming 346, 4 1/2 wide by 90' deep columns, which would strengthen the subsurface material and stabilize the slide area of the roadway.
