Renovation of a municipal facility in Los Angeles, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Project includes the construction of a new homeless shelter site on a City-owned parcel that includes tiny homes with beds for up to 144 individuals experiencing homelessness, in furtherance of providing emergency homeless shelter beds in the City of Los Angeles. Tiny homes are small, detached, prefab cabins made of aluminum and composite materials that will be assembled on site. The Project is to include 74 tiny homes, 70 with double beds and 4 with ADA single beds; eight hygiene pallets with restrooms, showers, and lavatories; one laundry structure, four administration prefab structures, and two storage units. A "Bid Bond" is required. The successful bidder shall provide two good and sufficient surety bonds. The "Payment Bond" and "Performance Bond" shall each be for not less than 100 percent of the contract price.
