Demolish and replace existing roof with new sprayed applied foam roof. Replace the existing exhaust in some areas of the roof with a new manifolded exhaust system. Replace existing indoor fan coil units at cold rooms 133 and 230. Replace outdoor rooftop condensing unit serving Cold Room 230. Existing condensing unit serving Cold Room 133 shall remain. Replace the existing indoor fan coil units and outdoor condensing units servings Cold Rooms 131, 132, 228, and 229 with new systems. Each Cold Room will be provided with a new programmable thermostat. Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the Lump Sum Base Bid shall accompany each Bid. The Surety issuing the Bid Bond shall be, on the Bid Deadline, an admitted surety insurer (as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120). The University has determined that bidders who submit bids for this Project must be prequalified. Prequalified bidders will be required to have the California contractor s license stated below. Any person or entity not satisfied with the outcome of the Prequalification must file a written challenge to the outcome within 3 calendar days from the date of the University's written notice regarding prequalification determination. Any assertion that the outcome of the prequalification process was improper will not be a ground for a bid protest.
