The work to be done, in general, includes placing high friction surface treatment, guardrail, minor drainage, signing and striping and other items and details, not mentioned above, that are required by the plans, specifications or these Special Provisions. The engineer's estimate for the work will be: $1,720,000 for the Base Bid and $518,000 for the additive alternate making a Total of $2,238,000. The number of working days for this project is 75. There is a DBE Contract goal of 20 percent for this project. Questions regarding the Work or the contract Documents shall be submitted through electronically. Inquiries or questions based on alleged patent ambiguity of the plans, specifications or estimate must be communicated as a bidder inquiry prior to bid opening. Any such inquiries or questions, submitted after bid opening, will not be treated as a bid protest.
