The Cherokee County Roadway/SPLOST Program is soliciting Statement of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified firm(s) or organization(s) to provide consultant services for PI 001616 I-575 at Towne Lake Parkway Interchange and Operations Improvement Project. This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeks to identify potential providers for the Scope of Services for the project/contract listed in Exhibit I. Firms that respond to this RFQ, and are determined by Cherokee County to be sufficiently qualified, may be deemed eligible, and invited to offer a technical approach and/or possibly present and/or interview for these services. All respondents to this RFQ are subject to instructions communicated in this document, and are cautioned to completely review the entire RFQ and follow instructions carefully. Cherokee County reserves the right to reject any or all Statements of Qualifications or Technical Approach, and to waive technicalities and informalities at the discretion of Cherokee County. The Georgia Department of Transportation Board has adopted a zero percent (0%) overall annual goal for DBE participation on all federally funded projects. This goal is not to be considered as a fixed quota, set aside or preference. The DBE goal can be met by prime contracting, sub-contracting, joint-venture or mentor/ protege relationship. PHASE I Deadline for submission of written questions and requests for clarification 3/15/2021 4:00 PM PHASE II Deadline for submission of written questions from finalists 4/26/2021 4:00 PM Phase II Response of Finalist firms due 5/3/2021 10:00 AM The Consultant shall provide Design Engineering for the interchange of I-575 and Towne Lake Parkway. The project is located in Cherokee County. Towne Lake Parkway consists of an urban section with four, 12-foot travel lanes (2 lanes in each direction) divided by a 12-foot median, with variable width urban shoulder. Sidewalks (typically 5-foot wide) are present on both sides of the mainline throughout the project with the exception of the south side for approximately 650 feet east of Stone Bridge Pkwy, and the segment between Woodstock Pkwy and Mill Street where the typical section transitions into a 2-lane, rural section. A roundabout is currently proposed at the Mill Street intersection under a separate project by the City of Woodstock. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
