Renovation of an educational facility in Hampton, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 35,391-square-foot educational facility.
Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned and Veteran Businesses are encouraged to participate. Project Location: Paul Burbank Elementary School, 40 Tide Mill Lane, Hampton, Virginia23666. The project scope is generally comprised of the roof replacement of approximately 35,391+/- square feet, including new gutters, downspouts, and trim metal. . On all roof areas, remove all existing roofing materials down to the existing roof deck. . On all roof areas, remove all wall flashing, deteriorated wood blocking and associated metal flashings, etc. . Install new wood blocking (as required) to accommodate the height of the new roof insulation system and provide a minimum 8" flashing height (to be included in the Base Bid - unit cost will not apply to these items) .Furnish and install new crickets, drain sumps or tapered edge strips as required or shown to provide positive drainage. Furnish and install new base flashing and stripping at all walls, curbs, expansion joints, gravel stop edges and other roof penetrations with proper termination as required or shown. . Furnish and install new termination bar and metal counter flashings as required or shown (MBE) 4.34%, (WBE) 3.82% Project No- 11236-00 The latest date for receipt by the Architect of bidders’ questions to be answered prior to receipt of bids will be 03/16/2022 (4:30 P.M.)
