PURPOSE: The Virginia Department of Transportation herein referred to as "VDOT" is soliciting bids from interested firms to perform hourly unplanned/on-call brush cutting, tree pruning services, limited tree removal services, in accordance of the specifications herein, within the Hampton Roads District along primary and secondary highway rights-of-way, and properties managed by the Accomac, Franklin and Williamsburg Residencies. The following counties are included: Accomac, Greensville, Isle of Wight, James City, Northampton, Southampton, Surry, Sussex and York. This solicitation will be awarded to one (1) contractor. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: From Date of Award for 12 Months (Renewable) QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS INVITATION FOR BID: Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be submitted in writing to Marlene.Carter@vdot.virginia.gov no later than 5 business days, prior to the closing date. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. If you plan to participate in the Mandatory pre-bid teleconference you must provide the following information via email to Marlene.Carter@vdot.virginia.gov no later than 5:00 PM on the business day prior to the scheduled conference. o Solicitation Number and Title o Company Name and Address o Representative Name, Phone Number, Email Address.
