The project consists of providing a Cafeteria Addition to the Middle School, and replacing 7 existing multi-zone roof top units with 43 single zone roof top units, and replacing a heating only roof mounted makeup air unit. This work will include new ceilings and lights in the area of the new roof top units, removing the old multi-zone units and their ductwork, and the existing lights. The existing ceiling shall be removed by a separate abatement project. Prevailing wages in accordance with Vermillion County is required. Bid security is required, in the form of a bid bond or certifi ed check in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid as guarantee that the bid will not be withdrawn within 30 days after the date of opening of bids, and that the successful bidder will enter into a Contract for the work awarded to them. Bid security shall be made payable to Hoopeston Area CUSD #11 Bonds are required: Both a Performance Bond and a Labor and Payment Bond are required for this project, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Your Bid will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submission. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or any part thereof, to waive any informality in bidding, and to accept bids deemed most favorable to the owner. Award of a contract is anticipated to occur at the March 17, 2022 meeting of the Board of Education. Begin construction on June 2, 2022. The Work shall be Substantially Complete on or before September 16, 2022 with fi nal completion on or before September 30, 2022.
