Site work for a transportation facility in Auburn, California. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.

As of May 11, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The recent growth in helicopter air traffic at the Auburn Municipal Airport illustrates need to provide an adequate helicopter parking area with improved operational safety and efficiency. Completion of this project will meet the Airport's forecasted helicopter demand by increasing the parking area capacity from two to four helicopter parking spots. This helicopter parking area site provides a compatible location that will minimize interactions with fixed-wing aircraft once the existing section of Taxiway D south of Taxiway A is removed (separate project) at a later time. The Work to be performed shall be completed within 90 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. At the time the contract is awarded, the contractor shall be properly licensed in accordance with the laws of this state. The first payment for work or material shall not be made unless and until the Registrar of Contractors verifies to the Agency that the records of the Contractors' State License Board indicate that the contractor was properly licensed at the time the contract was awarded. Any bidder or contractor not so licensed shall be subject to all legal penalties imposed by law including, but not limited to, any appropriate disciplinary action by the Contractors' State Board. Failure of the bidder to obtain proper and adequate licensing for an award of a contract shall constitute a failure to execute the contract and shall result in the forfeiture of the security of the bidder. (Public Contract Code 20103.5) If you have any questions, please contact Alan Mitchell, P.E. City Engineer amitchell@auburn.ca.gov. The City will not accept written or verbal questions beyond March 22, 2022 at 5:00 p.m The bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the amount of 10% of the total bid Pursuant to California Civil Code 3247, a payment bond is required to be submitted for all projects estimated in excess of $25,000.00 The Agency reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
