Renovation of a municipal facility in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Bids are invited from Heritage Masonry Contractors, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, who have previously prequalified for masonry-related projects with the City of Fredericton and who have provided evidence that they have sufficient means and experience to carry out the Fredericton City Hall Exterior Masonry & Millwork Restoration Project for the City of Fredericton, New Brunswick. The Scope of Work, which shall be carried out in accordance with the Bid Documents & Specifications, including the Conservation Philosophy detailed in Item 3 below and the Contract Drawings, consists of the following: .1 Cutting out and repointing or caulking deteriorated mortar joints; .2 Chasing and repairing cracked masonry; .3 Installing a length of Stainless Steel Helical Rod; .4 Restoring a damaged eavestrough to a functioning condition; .5 Dressing damaged stone units; .6 Repairing a damaged stone unit; .7 Restoration of deteriorated window woodwork including painting; .8 Preparing and painting the tower clock faces. The Contractor shall not claim any extra costs for not determining the requirements and not including all costs in their pricing. Bids will only be accepted from Contractors that attended a site visit.
