Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Whitehall, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid price shall be submitted with the bid. Additional post-award bonding requirements for this project include a Performance Bond, a Labor and Material Payment Bond and a Maintenance Bond. In general, the Project involves the 2022 Construction of about 27 ADA Handicap Ramp Corners along five (5) Street Projects within Whitehall Township. 1) Pennsylvania Street (8) Ramp Corners - Fullerton Area (from Richland Street Alley, North 13th Street to Mercer Street Alley). 2) Tremont Street (4) Ramp Corners - Fullerton Area (from North 9th Street to North 10th Street). 3) Quarry Street (6) Ramp Corners - Fullerton Area (from 2nd Street to Mulberry Alley). 4) South 2nd Street (3) Ramp Corners - Hokendauqua Area (from South Street to Birch Street Alley) and 5) Carbon Street (6) Ramp Corners - Hokendauqua Area (from North 2nd Street to North 3rd Street). The Total Estimated Concrete Curb and Sidewalk Replacement Quantities for all five (5) Street Projects is approx. 500 Ft. of Concrete Curbing and approx. 2,000 Sq. Ft. of Concrete Sidewalks. The Contractor is required to pay current Federal Davis-Bacon Wage Rates. If the projects wage rates are modified ten (10) or more days prior to the bid opening, an addendum will be issued to each prospective bidder. Should an updated version be applicable, it will be faxed or emailed as an Addendum to each prospective bidder. The Contractor is also required to contact and solicit Services from Minority and Women Business Enterprises (MBE/WBE) and document their solicitation and commitment on the Federal Form DCA BHD 168 Statement Form with their Bid Submission. Bidders must be PennDOT Pre-qualified Contractors (or Subcontractors) having current PennDOT Certification in Curb and Sidewalk work. Also, Bidders shall have at least five (5) years past experience in concrete work of a character and quantity similar to that included within the Contract Specifications. The successful bidder is expected to be able to start work in May 2022 and shall complete all work by August 26, 2022. Liquidated damages of $250 per calendar day will be assessed to the Contractor for any HC Ramps that are not completed by the August 26, 2022, completion date until its satisfactory completion. Whitehall Township reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, whether any aspect of a bid satisfactorily meets the criteria established in this Request for Bid, to accept either in whole or in part, any one bid or combination of bids, to waive or permit the curing of any immaterial defects informalities or irregularities in a bid as permitted by law, to reject any or all bids with or without cause, and to take any action which the Township deems appropriate. The Township intends to select that bid(s) which, in the sole opinion of the Township is/are most favorable and in the best interests of the citizens of Whitehall Township.
