As of July 13, 2022, project was awarded to Sequel Contractors, Inc., awarded amount is $695,865.90. Proposals must be accompanied by a proposal guarantee consisting of cash, a certified or cashier check or bid bond by an admitted surety insurer payable to the AGENCY in the amount not less than 10 percent of the total amount bid. Any proposal not accompanied by such a guarantee will not be considered. The Payment Bond (Material and Labor Bond) shall be for not less than 50 percent of the contract price, to satisfy claims of material suppliers and of mechanics and laborers employed by it on the work. The Payment Bond shall remain in effect until thirty-five days after the date of recordation of the Notice of Completion. Total Engineering Cost Estimate: $618,995 Base Bid Estimate: $490,616 Alternate Bid Estimate: $128,379 Award of Contract June 13, 2022 City Council meeting Pre-Construction Meeting June 23, 2022 The winning bidder must sign and submit the contract to the City within ten (10) days of awarded contract the bonds, insurance certificates and all other documentation necessary prior to start of construction must be submitted to the City at the preconstruction meeting on June 27, 2022. Construction must begin on July 05, 2022. If the Base Bid and Alternate Bid are awarded, all work shall be completed within fortyfive (45) working days of the effective date of the Notice-to-Proceed to be issued by AGENCY, including five (5) working days for Mobilization and forty (40) working days for Construction. The total contract period for this project is thirty-five (35) working days from the effective date of the Notice-to-Proceed to be issued by the City. This includes five (5) working days as move-in period and thirty (30) working days for construction work The liquidated damages for this project is five hundred dollars ($500.00) per calendar day the project is not completed within the contract time. The AGENCY reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularity and to take all bids under advertisement for a period of sixty (60) days.
