As of March 2025, a feasibility study has been completed. The project is on hold pending owner review. The project is included in the City's 2023-2024 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). A firm contractor bidding and construction timeline have not been disclosed. Proposals from qualified consulting firms for engineering and design services. The South 131st Place Drainage Improvement Project will address local flooding of roadway and adjacent private properties and address upstream issues that contribute to flooding, water quality concerns and present fish barriers and habitat degradation. The project will restore access and habitat and will be designed to allow juvenile fish passage upstream. The project area is constrained by local roads, residential, industrial, and commercial development, and local utilities.
