Project No.: 2021.0340 , 087805.00 The Board of Education of Crestwood School District, Wayne County, Michigan, will receive sealed bids for a building addition at Hillcrest Elementary School, 7500 N. Vernon Street, Dearborn Heights, MI 48127. The work generally consists of: Renovate the following areas, complete including operational mechanical and electrical work and finishes: o Removal of existing site paving, topsoil, fill material, portion of exterior wall for connection of building addition, etc. as indicated in the construction documents o Construct building addition, mechanical, electrical, fire alarm, interior finishes, site work, etc. as indicated in the construction documents. Davis Bacon prevailing wages are required for this project. Meeting will begin in the receiving room of Hillcrest Elementary School, located at 7500 N. Vernon Street, Dearborn Heights, MI 48127, then will continue to Highview Elementary School located at 25225 Richardson Street, Dearborn Heights, MI 48127 and ending at Kinloch Elementary School located at 1505 Kinloch Street, Dearborn Heights, MI 48127. Contractors intending on submitting a bid to the Crestwood School District must have a representative in attendance at each school meeting and sign in at each school or their bid for the school unattended will be rejected by the Board of Education. The School Board will not consider, accept, or open a bid received after the date and time specified for bid submission in this advertisement for bid. The bids shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Board of Education or the Superintendent of the School District. The board will not accept a bid that does not include this sworn and notarized disclosure statement. The bids shall also be accompanied by a sworn and notarized Iran Economic Sanctions Certification. This project will be funded by federal monies under the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER). As a federally funded construction project over $2,000, this Project is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act, 20 USC 1232b, and the Contractor is required to ensure that prevailing wages are paid in accordance with that Act and its implementing regulations. Without limiting the breadth of the foregoing: (1) Contractor shall pay all mechanics and laborers employed directly on the site of the work, unconditionally and at least once a week, and without subsequent deduction or rebate on any account, the full amounts accrued at time of payment, computed at wage rates not less than those stated in the advertised specifications, regardless of any contractual relationship which may be alleged to exist between the Contractor or subcontractor and the laborers and mechanics; (2) Contractor shall post the scale of wages to be paid in a prominent and easily accessible place at the site of the work; and (3) There may be withheld from the Contractor so much of accrued payments as the Owner considers necessary to pay to laborers and mechanics employed by the Contractor or subcontractors on the work the difference between the rates of wages required by the Agreement to be paid laborers and mechanics on the work and the rates of wages received by the laborers and mechanics and not refunded to the Contractor or subcontractors or their agents.
