The State College Area School District plans to replace existing fuel oil fired hydronic heating boiler at the Bus Garage next to Radio Park Elementary. The following is a brief outline of the scope of work: o Demolish existing fuel oil fired boiler, existing circulator pumps, and domestic coil and mixing valve. o Selective demolition of heating water supply/return piping. o Selective demolition of domestic cold water and hot water piping. o Provide new fuel oil fired boiler and circulator pump and reconnect to existing heating water and fuel oil piping. o Provide new ceiling suspended electric water heater and reconnect to domestic cold water and hot water piping. A Bid Guaranty in the form of a Certified Check or a Surety Company's Bid Bond shall be submitted with the Proposal in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total Bid amount. In the event that any Bidders shall, upon the award of a contract, fail to comply with the terms of the proposal and/or Contract Documents, the amount of the Bid Guaranty shall be forfeited to the Owner. For any contract exceeding $5,000.00, wording about this requirement must be provided: The contractor shall provide a performance bond and a labor and material payment bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price, before the award of the contract.
