The State College Area School District plans to replace existing domestic hot water heating and softening at Mount Nittany Middle School. The following is a brief outline of the scope of work: o Demolish existing hot water storage tank and related tube bundle heat exchanger, existing domestic hot water circulator pump, domestic water softener and domestic hot water mixing valve. o Selective demolition of heating water supply/return piping (boiler to remain). o Selective demolition of domestic cold water and hot water piping. o Provide two new high efficiency condensing gas water heaters and connect to existing domestic cold and hot water systems with new hot water circulating pumps and mixing valve. o Provide new packaged domestic water softener package and connect to existing system.
