**As of June 7 2022, the project was awarded to EP Roofing for $554,420. Start date: May 9, 2022. The Department of Corrections is soliciting for sealed bids to upgrade the existing corrugated metal roof with new standing seam metal roofing system at Point Mackenzie Correctional Farm in Wasilla, Alaska. This State funded project will upgrade the existing corrugated metal roof that is currently leaking with a new standing seam metal roofing system. The existing corrugated metal roof will stay in place, and the new metal roof system will be installed over it. This will provide cheaper roof installation costs and a safer work surface. A 30-mil underlayment will be added as an additional vapor barrier. All mechanical roof penetrations will have new curbs and boots installed. New metal trim, coping, and flashing will be installed. Snow guards will be installed to provide a degree of safety against falling snow and ice.
