**As of April 11, 2022, bids received were rejected as they were over the budget. No definite date for the rebid.** The Work consists of constructing 3 new outdoor tennis courts, adjacent to the existing 9 tennis courts. The work also includes resealing and restriping the 9 existing outdoor tennis courts, and resealing and restriping the 6 indoor tennis courts. The Work includes, but is not limited to selective demolition, site clearing, earthwork, tennis court paving, chain link fences, lawns and grasses, cast-in-place concrete, sports equipment, outdoor benches, electrical, and clean-up and removal of construction debris. All mailing charges (non-refundable), if required, are to be arranged in advance with and paid directly to Maco-Evansville Blue with a separate check. Electronic copies of the documents are available from the City's vendor registry website nder Departments/Purchasing. Instructions to register as a vendor are attached to this bid document. Once registered, bidders can download all bid/contract documentation. Deposits will be refunded to contractors who submit a bona fide proposal to the Owner (directly or through a prime contractor) and return the documents, in an acceptable and reusable condition within ten days of the opening of the bids. Partial sets of documents are not available from the office of the Architect. The Bid Documents and Plans may be viewed online at the following: City of Owensboro website id Guaranty in the form of a Bid Bond (Proposal bonds with Contractor acting as surety are not acceptable), Certified Check, or cash shall accompany each bid. All bid Guaranties shall be made payable to the City of Owensboro. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days therefrom. The scoring of bids/proposals is subject to Reciprocal preference for Kentucky resident bidders and Preferences for a Qualified Bidder. The Owner reserves the right to determine the ability of any bidder to perform the work, and upon the request of the Owner, any bidder shall furnish such information as may be required to make this determination. The premium for the bonds shall be included in the proposal amount(s). The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bids received where such acceptance, rejection or waiver is considered to be in the best interest of the Owner and to reject any bid where evidence of information submitted by the bidder does not satisfy the Owner that the Bidder is qualified to carry out the details of the Contract Documents.
