Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for an educational facility in Eugene, Oregon. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and for asbestos abatement for a educational facility.
The Project includes asbestos abatement to accommodate a building-wide renovation project. Materials include but are not limited to floor tile and mastic, duct joint tape, lab countertops, fume hoods, fume hood ductwork, and sealants. The project will occur in four phases starting in May 2022 and ending in July of 2022. Multiple mobilizations may be required. The State of Oregon is requiring contractors on this project with an estimated cost of $200,000 or greater to comply with Senate Bill 5721 rules regarding use of apprentices, women, minority individuals, and veterans, and provide health insurance and retirement benefits to workers. Specific language is included in the Supplemental General Conditions. Prime bidders who arrive more than 5 minutes after start of time of the meeting (as stated in the solicitation and by the Owners Representatives watch) or after the discussion portion of the meeting (whichever comes first) shall not be permitted to sign in and will not be permitted to submit a bid on the Project. The University of Oregon (UO) is an AA/EEO employer and encourages the submittal of responses from Oregon based businesses including women, minority-owned and emerging small business enterprises.
