Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Alpharetta, Georgia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The North Fulton Community Improvement District (NFCID) is accepting sealed statements of qualifications (SOQ) from qualified engineering firms for the design of the Alpha Loop Trail Tunnel project in the City of Alpharetta. The tunnel will be constructed under Haynes Bridge Road to the north of the SR 400/Haynes Bridge southbound entrance/exit ramp. The proposed tunnel will be approximately 15 ft in width and 10 ft in height and tie to the existing pedestrian/trail network. The concept considers that an ADA compliant crossing may not be feasible at the east entrance to the tunnel and that the trail's ADA compliant crossing may be at the nearby intersection, separate from the tunnel. Some minor work related to pedestrian accommodations and trail network tie-in is proposed on Haynes Bridge Road. No work is proposed on SR 400 ramps. Full lighting plans to light the tunnel as well as the trail facilities adjacent to the tunnel will be required as a part of this scope. All work would be performed to minimize ROW impacts to adjacent properties. A concept with the City's preferred alignment is included as Attachment A. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
