Project Location: 800 Main Street, Hartford, CT. The Project consists of the following: 1. Removal and replacement of piping and electrical work in existing trenches. Scope includes removal and replacement of concrete slabs at trenches, stone tile, carpeting, and metal studs and gypsum board. Bidders shall be required to award not less than 25% of the total proposed project sum to subcontractors who are certified and eligible to participate under the state of Connecticut set-aside program for small and minority businesses in accordance with Connecticut General Statutes Section 4a-60g. At least 25% of the initial 25% (6.25%) shall be awarded to certified minority business enterprises (including women-owned, minority population and disabled contractors.) Any contractor or subcontractor awarded any work in accordance with Conn. Gen. Stat. 4a-60g shall "perform not less than 30% of the work with the workforces of such contractor or subcontractor and shall require that not less than 50% of the work be performed by contractors or subcontractors eligible for awards under this section."
