This project is included in the Dutchess County fiscal years 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of June 20, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. A detailed scope has not been released. The main focus of the project will be the installation of a new hydraulic elevator. The building currently does not have an elevator and is not ADA compliant. The College proposes to install a hydraulic elevator in a former electrical closet north of the existing open stairwell. This location has multiple advantages: most importantly, it is on a main circulation path adjacent to both the stairway used by ambulatory occupants and the north entrance door that leads to the accessible drop-off drive along Washington Circle. Also, as a commitment to student life initiatives there is a need for gathering space for students, clubs and events. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
