The City reserves the right to postpone the bid opening for its own convenience. It is the intent of these plans and specifications to provide for a contractor who shall provide all labor, materials (unless otherwise specified), tools and equipment necessary to perform miscellaneous water work across the water system. Prospective contractors should be prepared to bid this work on an as needed basis. It is anticipated that the City of Kalamazoo will complete some of the proposed work using in house personnel, with the remainder distributed to the responsive low bid contractor(s). The Contractor shall bid on all sections of work. Questions about this IFB should be directed to: Department Contact: Anna Crandall, Senior Civil Engineer, Water Resources at crandalla@kalamazoocity.org The bid must be accompanied by a bid bond which shall not be less than five (5%) percent of the total amount of the bid. No bid will be considered unless it is accompanied by the required guarantee. A performance bond shall be furnished in the full amount of the contract ensuring the City of faithful performance of all the provisions of the contract, and the satisfactory performance of any equipment required hereunder A labor and material (payment) bond shall be furnished for the period covered by the contract, in the full amount of the contract for the protection of labor and material suppliers and sub-contractors
