Remodeling of a municipal facility in Bellingham, Washington. Completed plans call for the remodel of a 495-square-foot, two-story above grade municipal facility.

Bidders and subbidders should be prepared to take whatever action is necessary to complete the Work in a timely manner, including but not limited to working overtime hours, all within the Contract Sum and at no additional cost to the Owner. Bidders and sub-bidders who are not prepared to take such actions to timely complete the Project should not bid this Project. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond with a Statelicensed surety, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid, made payable to the Owner. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a one hundred percent (100%) Performance and Payment Bond, including Washington State sales tax. Such bonds shall be furnished by a surety company acceptable to Owner, The Owner shall have the right to accept the lowest responsive bid from a responsible bidder, provided the bid has been submitted in accordance with the requirements of the Bidding Documents and does not exceed the funds available. The Owner shall have the right to waive informalities on a bid or bids and to accept bid(s), which, in the Owner's judgment is in the Owner's best interest. The Owner shall have the right to reject any and all bids for the project THE BUILDING TO BE REMODELED IS AN EXISTING TRANSPORTATION OFFICE OPERATED BY BELLINGHAM PUBLIC SCHOOLS. CONSTRUCTION INCLUDES THE ADDITION OF TWO OFFICES AND A TOILET ROOM IN THE SECOND LEVEL STORAGE LOFT. ALSO INCLUDED ARE MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL UPGRADES The building to be remodeled is an existing transportation office operated by Bellingham Public Schools. Construction includes the addition of two offices and a toilet room in the second level storage loft. Also included are mechanical and electrical upgrades and remodel of the main level toilet rooms and break room kitchen.
