Project Category Code: Concrete Pavement, Paving - Concrete, Street/Road Concrete Reconstruction, Paving (Asphalt or Concrete) Description: This Contract consists of three different types of concrete paving projects as follows: 1) Partial Reconstruction and Complete Reconstruction of Kellner Street from Fleetwood Drive to Menasha Avenue. 2) Complete Reconstruction of Fleetwood Drive from North Rapids Road to 629 feet East of Kellner Street. 3) Concrete Pavement Replacement coinciding with upsizing the storm sewer on the westerly part of the cul-de-sac on Andrea Court. The partial reconstruction and complete reconstruction work on Kellner Street includes pavement removal, grading, graveling, fine grading, concrete pavement with some integral curb, concrete curb & gutter replacement, clean & seal existing pavement joints, concrete driveway and concrete sidewalk replacement. The project also includes replacing some storm sewer structures, relaying a sanitary lateral and replacement of "MJ" bolts on some of the existing watermain. The project also includes lawn restoration and pavement markings. The complete reconstruction work on Fleetwood Drive includes pavement removal, grading, graveling, fine grading, concrete pavement with all integral curb, concrete driveway and concrete sidewalk replacement. The project also includes relaying some storm sewer and reconstructing a sanitary manhole. The project also includes lawn restoration work. This project has Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP) MSIGT Funding for the reconstruction of Fleetwood Drive from Kellner Street to 629 feet East of Kellner Street. It is the intent of the City to require the Contractor to reconstruct Kellner Street one-half at a time. The Contractor shall be required to fully complete all work on the first side before any work on the second side/half can commence. The Contractor shall provide continuous traffic at all times on new or existing concrete pavement. There is an Add-Alternate Bid for the reconstruction of the western one-half ( 1/2 ) of Fleetwood Drive, which is from North Rapids Road to 50 feet west of the centerline of Kellner Street. The Add-Alternate shall not be included in the total cost of the Base Bid. The City shall determine the low bidder on the basis of the Base Bid Only. It is anticipated that the City will Award the Add-Alternate work if there are sufficient City funds available to complete the additional work.
