When requesting bid documents, please provide a mailing address, telephone number, and fax number and email address. Bidders are required to bid on the entire project and may not selectively bid on certain phases of the contract. The proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope and plainly marked with the words "Carbondale Township Paving Bids 2022". Bids must be delivered to the Township Solicitor, Michael J. Krushinski, Esquire, and must be received not later than the date and time stated above. Oral, telephonic, facsimile, email, telex or telegraphic bids are invalid and will not receive consideration. Bids shall be irrevocable for sixty (60) days after bid opening date, unless the award of contract is due to required approvals of another governmental agency. If so, bids shall be irrevocable after One Hundred Twenty (120) days. Bid proposals must be accompanied by an executed Non-Collision Affidavit. The proposal must be accompanied by a ten (10%) percent bid bond consisting of a certified check, certified bank treasurers check, bank cashiers check or bid bond. A satisfactory corporate surety shall provide security in an amount equal to 10% of the base bid. The surety shall name as payee or obligee Carbondale Township. All proposals submitted must comply with all specifications set forth in the bid packet. Notice is hereby given that the project constitutes a public works and is subject to the applicable provisions of the Human Relations Act of October 27, 1955, P.L. 744 and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act 442 of August 15, 1961, as amended. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any and all irregularities, mistakes, omissions or informalities relative hereto. The successful bidder will be required to executed a contract with Carbondale Township for the performance of the contract and will be required to furnish a performance bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the contract.
