A bid bond, certified check or cash in the amount of 10% of the bid amount is required to be submitted with each bid, payable to Dickson City Borough, as a guarantee of the bidders willingness to execute the contract if awarded the same. Bidders must be PennDOT Prequalified as specified in section 102.01, of Publication 408. Contractors qualifying as subcontractors may submit bids as a prime contractor, consistent with their qualifications and as specified in section 108.01, Publication 408. A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a prerequisite for bidding on this project. Bidders are advised that PA Prevailing Minimum Wage Rates must be paid to workers employed on this project and are incorporated in the Contract Documents. These wage rate requirements are applicable to this contract for the entire duration of this project. The Bidder, in accordance with the Presidents Executive Order 11246, will be required to ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against on the basis of their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin in employment or the provision of services.
