Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in West Chicago, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

All bid proposals are to be made on the forms provided and will be made a part of the contract documents to be executed with the City. Bid proposals are to be received in a sealed 9"x12" or 10"x13' envelope. The envelope shall be marked: "SEALED BID - STOCKBERRY LANE AND GROVE AVENUE RESURFACING PROJECT, and the name of the bidder" The work as shown on the plans and as specified herein consists mainly of roadway resurfacing and concrete flat work. The work is to be performed on and along Stockberry Lane in the Cornerstone Lakes Subdivision and Grove Avenue, east of Neltnor Boulevard (IL Route 59). The net length of roadway improvements is approximately 2,630 feet (0.5 miles) within the City of West Chicago in DuPage County. The project includes, but is not limited to, the following items: pavement milling, hot-mix asphalt (HMA) binder and surface course installation, PCC curb and gutter removal and replacement, PCC sidewalk removal and replacement, parkway/ditch restoration, manhole structure repair and adjustments, thermoplastic pavement markings and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project as shown on the Plans and described herein. All questions regarding the bid shall be submitted in writing to publicworks@westchicago.org by 12:00 PM (CST) Monday, March 21, 2022. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of 5% of the bid. Bid bond shall be in the form of a bid bond (IDOT form 12230 or equal), certified check or cashier's check drawn on a responsible bank doing business in the United States and shall be made payable to the City of West Chicago. All bids not accompanied by a bid deposit will be rejected. The successful bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor-Mechanical Payment Bond, both in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount as a security for the faithful performance of this contract and as a security for the payment of all persons performing labor on the project under this contract and furnishing materials in connection with this Contract, respectively. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid after the scheduled closing time for a period of ninety (90) days. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bid proposals, to waive any informality in any bid proposal, to re-advertise the proposed services, and to accept the proposal most advantageous to the City.
