This turnkey project includes the replacement of approximately 8,400 water meters for both residential and commercial properties served by the City of Miamisburg water utility. The Contractor will supply and install a complete AMR system, including data-transmitting meters, software, customer portal, and integrate the new system with the City's existing water billing software. An AMI system will be included as an alternate bid and may be chosen over the AMR system at the City's discretion. Detailed specifications and bid forms are on file at the office of the Public Works Director, 600 N. Main St., City of Miamisburg, Ohio. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. Bids cannot be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days following the bid opening. All work must be substantially completed within 365 days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. Attention of bidders is called to all the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and State of Ohio Prevailing Wage Rates, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions and the requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price. The City of Miamisburg, Ohio reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities, and further, reserves the right to accept any bids or parts of bids which it deems to best serve the interest of the City of Miamisburg, Ohio.
